Community prosecution plan to debut in Frayser

District Attorney General Amy Weirich is hoping to make Frayser safer and lessen crime in the area with the help of two judges, a support staff and members of the Frayser community.

Weirich announced the “Old Allen & District 7 Community Prosecution” pilot plan on Monday (December 19) at the Ed Rice Community Center. Under the pilot plan, which will be implemented on January 1, Judges Gerald Skahan and John Campbell, along with a team of support staff members and prosecutors, will handle all arrests and cases in the area.

“This is a project that our office has been working on for many months. It is a project that I have been thinking about for several years,” Weirich said.
